Fall 2020 Recruitment Campaign
Role: Executive Board - Communications Director
UBC's biggest multi-channel campaign occurs during the months of August and September to promote our new member recruitment. As the 2019-20 Communications Director, my vision for this year's recruitment included UBC's first recruitment video, where I worked alongside the Video Chair under me to storyboard and the structure and overall feel of the video, as well as work through video edits. 
Our overall goal was to present UBC as a student organization that provided both professional development as well as a home for members within UT Austin's large campus
Along with our recruitment video, we accomplished this goal with our new infographic, accompanied with our annual recruitment timeline and info session graphics. I wrote the copy and collaborated with the Publicity Chair to create the recruitment infographic. 
We decided that the underlying theme for our recruitment marketing materials would be "Summertime in Austin." This theme informed the decision to use bold colors in our graphics, upbeat music in our video, and helped us promote the general feeling of excitement and warmth that UBC embodies in all of our marketing materials. 
We also launched a series of spotlights during our recruitment campaign, featuring 7 posts highlighting impactful UBC members, events, and alumni. We chose to create 7 posts specifically because of the "7 touches" marketing principle, which says that it takes 7 notices for a user to internalize one's call to action (our CTA being visiting our website to apply for our organization).

Our efforts led to a total of about 850 email sign-ups, which was an increase from last years numbers of about 450 sign-ups in 2018 and 175 sign-ups in 2017. Additionally, we received 152 applications, which was an increase from last years number of 117.
